Everybody’s Got a Laughin’ Place

This shot has been a nemesis of mine over the years. I’ve tried numerous times and always came away with a shot that just wasn’t quite there. Ultimately I think something like the 85 1.4g would be the best lens for this shot but I made due with the 70-200 2.8 instead. he looks I got getting on the ride with this lens was pretty hilarious though. Bonus: we got the front row. It was all good though, I always wear a rain jacket on Splash because I don’t enjoy getting wet and my wife had a large poncho on so when the big splash came I passed it off to here and she held it under the poncho. Hey, whatever works right? Anyway, the 70-200 pulled it out, and the VR certainly helped in getting these two nice and sharp.
