Brer Fox Captures Brer Rabbit

Every trip to Disney World thousands of photos. Of these probably 30-40% are dark ride photos. For some reason though I end up sharing very few of them so I keep asking myself why I’m even bothering to shoot all those photos if I’m never going to share them. Well I’m going to try and change that. I’m going back through multiple trips of shots and finding some of my favorite unprocessed dark ride shots to share. I’ve got literally hundreds if not thousands that have never even been touched.

This was shot with the Nikon D810 and Sigma 24 1.4. I had heard great things about this lens unfortunately I was using a rental and my experience was less than stellar. I had focusing issues throughout the trip that made me have a much higher throw away count than usual for my dark ride shots. This was even after calibrating the lens with the Sigma dock. I’m sure I just got a bad copy from the rental company but it left a bad taste in my mouth for Sigma lenses and now I will probably only stick with the first party Nikon lenses in the future. Editing was very straight forward with some Nik Color Efex Pro Contrast along with some denoising in the shadows area. I made some saturation adjustments and sharpened the photo to finish it off.
