This was the very last photo I took on my most recent trip to Disney World. Security was starting to press and honestly I was exhausted from a week of early mornings and late nights. Still it seemed appropriate to close out the trip with one final shot of Cinderella Castle. It’s only been 4 months now since I was there but already I’m starting to get that itch to return. It wouldn’t hurt either to help fill up the photo coffers.
Shooting & Editing A Final Look at Cinderella Castle
This was shot with the Nikon D810 and Nikon 70-200 2.8. I really love shooting the castle with the 70-200. Shooting at such a long focal length the castle really stands straight and tall and looks really grand standing at the end of Main Street USA. I used 2 shots to create my base blend for this shot. I did a separate levels adjustments to the mid-tones and shadows before color balancing the image. I then used Nik Color Efex Pro Contrast to boost the contrast. I balanced this out with a few more levels adjustments and then boosted the vibrance. I finished the shot off with my 2 round sharpening technique.
